For both teams the cup is a chance to get a Europa League ticket. None
of them has real chance to get the ticket through the championship so
the only way is to win the Cup. The trophy by itself gives incentives
and the European ticket is just an extra incentive. Both teams had an
average season and both teams are in poor form recently. Lokomotiv is in
slightly better situation as it managed to win the last game.
The last time that Kuban won was on the 22nd of March. Since then it played 8 games and Kuban lost 6 of them while 2 games ended in a draw. Personally I believe that Lokomotiv is better as a team and I don’t believe that will fail to win this game against a weaker team. I think that this is the only chance for the team to get something positive on this season. So my prediction is win for Lokomotiv Moscow.
