Englands opener is against highly fancied France, who are worthy
favourites in this group F opener. France have been victorious in the
last two meetings with handicap, 3-0 and 2-0 respectedly. I believe
todays game will be a close encounter England have had some good
friendly results leading up to the World Cup rotating and finalising a
strong squad which should get out of the group at the very least,
although I do think they need to win against Colombia and Mexico to
progress.
The over market here is of good value based upon Fifa rankings
and the technical ability shown by both teams. I fancy England to score
today, why not, they usually create lots of scoring opportunitys and
have gifted wingers and a strong midfield feeding their atack, Alex
Scott is the player to watch for me tonight. I'm backing both teams to
score, I fancy England notching but don't fancy the 3 points, I can't
see us winning without reply and dont think this will be all France.
England also had a good warm-up against Germany although losing 3-0 on
the night, I thing it was a learning curve and would have improved the
mindset coming into big games against similarly gifted sides. I think
France will win the game but like the over too, unless France cover the
-2 handicap, both teams have to score for me and great odds too.
